Festool GmbH is a third-generation family business that manufactures power tools for professional users in the fields of woodworking woodworking, painting and renovation. The assembly plant in Weilheim/Teck, newly built in 2021, employs 330 employees work in the areas of final assembly, logistics, industrialization and administration. In process design, emphasis was placed on a lean material flow between the warehouse and assembly, which is by a driverless transport system. The assembly lines, which were developed and built in-house, can flexibly produce small batches with high variance and are also very efficiently designed.
